My name is Benson YEUNG. I moved to Calgary in November. I have got the OWP in Canada already.

I have engaged in Fire & Water Services Engineering field more than 10 years. The company I am now still serving is one of the Registered Fire Services Installation Contractor in Hong Kong.

First graduated from Business Administration, I started my post in IT Department for computer related works in this company. Since there was a project which required to submit CAD drawings to HKFSD, my supervisor requested me to draft. Practice makes perfect, and I learnt the CAD drawing. However, I got frustrated when submitting the drawings to HKFSD. She rejected the submission always since I didn't know the rule or code behind. Moreover, I found difficulties when requiring the technicians what to do; they had their 'own words' which seems like Morse code for me. That's why I tried to learn from internet, even later I completed a High Diploma course in Building Services Engineering and succeed to change from IT to Engineering field. And I just got the Registered Fire Service Installation Contractor in Hong Kong which is a license specialized in Fire Extinguisher.

I enjoy working in Engineering field, especially in the wet system design and implement, no matter the fire sprinkler system or portable water system because it is important in buildings. They seem invisible when it is normal condition. However, they are affecting the daily life for the resident, or even the last resort in saving life if the fire services installation ready!

Since I move to Calgary with my family to start our new life, that's why I would like to take a challenge for trying different work field even I have not tried before. Hope you can take some time to view my attached resume. In my previous job, I was used to do some onsite maintenance works. Those hand operated tools usage, and the most important thing, the basic safety knowledge is being known. I do think the renovation work I can handle. And I have planned to study Electrician Program in SAIT in coming months in order to become an Engineer goal.
